Dr. Peterson is a Salt Lake City native. He is board-certified in Family Medicine and in non-surgical Sports Medicine. Dr. Peterson provides Sports Medicine care at Paulos-Toronto Orthopedics & Sports Medicine.

Dr. Peterson attended the University of Utah and graduated from Brigham Young University. He then earned his medical degree at Midwestern University/Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. He served a Family Medicine residency at Michigan State University – Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies. Dr. Peterson then went on to the Kansas City University of Medicine and Bioscience where he completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Dr. Peterson has served as a team physician for the Northwest Arkansas Naturals – AA affiliate of the Kansas City Royals. He also served as a team physician for Heritage High School in Arkansas, and has been a medical volunteer for a number of sporting events.

In his leisure time, Dr. Peterson enjoys skiing, on both snow and water, as well as swimming, and spending time with his wife and three children.
